About the business

Started with one ute and a licence. Built on jobs done properly.

I’m Jonathon. I got my plumbing licence, spent years on high-end construction sites around Sydney, and in 2019 I decided to do it under my own name. Barnes Plumbing Solutions started as me and a ute. It is now a small team of licensed plumbers and apprentices, working across the city on everything from a blocked drain in an apartment to the full hydraulics of an architect-designed home.

The construction work taught me the standard. When a builder is chasing a Master Builders award, nothing gets patched and nothing gets hidden behind a wall that you wouldn’t be happy to open up again. I run every job that way, including the small ones.

We now work with builders, strata managers, real estate agencies, commercial clients like Volkswagen, TAFE NSW and Taronga Zoo, and a lot of homeowners who found us through a neighbour. I still answer the phone, and I still turn up to jobs.

We don’t patch. If a repair needs a proper fix we say so, quote it, and do it so you don’t see us again for the same thing.

Every job is done or signed off by a licensed plumber. Every invoice carries our licence number.
